You should see loads of dimes with dates in the last 10 or 15 years. With a few very obvious exceptions, nearly ANY coins since the 1970s, and especially money from the last 5 years, is nothing more than common ordinary old coins worth face value.
US dimes and quarters dated 1965 and later are made of copper and nickel, not silver. If you have a coin that appears to be silver it was probably plated for use in a bracelet or similar jewelry.
