Probably no more the $90 since it lacks a serial number. It may be looked on as possibly stolen and many gun dealers want no part of it.
the marlin 781 with your serial number was produced in 1983. i have a similar serial number to that one. A great rifle with great simplicity. This rifle if you take care of it and oil it regularly will last a lifetime and fire accurately.

Answer Marlin ser # 04074179I can't tell you exactly, but I have a Model 30 Diamond Jubilee 150 Aniversary Edition produced in 1978. The serial number on this rifle starts is OTO 06303. It is a special edition so I don't know if the no.s will help any. Have you called Marlin? They are very helpful. Your gun was manufactured in 1996. What you do is take the first 2 #s of the serial # and subtract it from 2000. By the way, you have a great gun, I love mine.
serial number 1431191

Your Marlin model 336SC (sporting carbine) which was made in the year 1948,will bring between 300-350 dollars.
