The Companion should be a single shot "folding" shotgun without an exposed hammer. It was probably the least expensive Beretta shotgun made and retailed (at least in the 1970s) for around $150. Most common were 12 gauge and 20 gauge models, but 28s and 410s are around too. This is the same gun as the model FS-1.

If the gun is 100%, straight stock, and in excellent fired condition; currently, you are looking at around $950 market value. The price goes down from there...
As of Nov '08 probably ~$400 in excellent or better condition. Price will fall off sharply if in less than XL condt.
Depends on which model Beretta, and what condition it is in. A like-new Beretta 92 with adjustable sights might be worth $500. The same condition Beretta Cougar might be $350. If either of them are rusty or nicked or scratched, make it $250 or so.
