it depends on what grade (skeeter, hercules...), and what kind of condition of the gun. A lots of people are looking for skeeter grade ( us $1000 and up), Hercule grade 250 to 500 range. I hope this info. will be useful. ted it range 250 to 500 dollars.

I'm not sure of the value of your shotgun. I have a Montgomery Wards Hercules, double barrel shotgun, with external hammers. With all the research I have done it is a Stevens 217. I have been looking for a set of barrels for this gun. Can you describe your gun to me. Petter

It's really a Stevens model 94. Hercules was a Montgomery Ward brand name. Hercules was made by Iver Johnson from 1918-1943. I have a Montgomery Ward Hercules 16 ga. double. Does anyone know who made it. There are no brand or model numbers.SN X76777

The Hercules shotgun was made by Iver Johnson (not Stevens, which is a totally different company) from 1918-1943, although the Hercules name was dropped in the late 30's.
Your Iver Johnson double barrel shotgun can be dated by the words hammer forged.This places production from 1936-1941.these were well made mass produced field grade shotguns of high quality.
