I have a Werlein spinet piano that I purchased new from the Werlein piano store in Baton Rouge, La. for about $1200. I don't know what it is worth now, but it has held up wonderfully.

According to bluebookofpianos.com, a Kohler and Campbell piano with this serial number would have been built in 1973.
Kohler & Campbell pianos built between 1955 and 1958 were issued serial numbers from 503000-521000. Given this, a Kohler & Campbell numbered 503242 would very likely have been produced within the first few months on 1955.
The piano was built in 1912 according to the Pierce Piano Atlas 12th edition.
The extant serial number list for Kimball would indicate it was built about 1904.
