The Marlin Model 39-A 90th Anniversary rifle is a collectors item. There were only 500 of each made (the Model 39-A and the Model 39-A Mountie) They were serialized from 1 to 500. The chrome plated guns were made only 1 year, 1960 to commomorate the 90th Anniversary of Marlin Firearms Company founding. The value of these guns, depending upon the overall condition will range from $800.00 to $1,200.00. If it were new in the box, then you could add at least another $300.00
