Jefferson's picture has never appeared on standard circulation half dollars, nor can I find any references to a commemorative coin with that denomination. Please post a new question with more details that might help ID what you have.
I know the coin you are speaking of, I too have one sitting in front of me, it does say 1800-1985. My husbands grandparents gave him a set years ago, we are not sure what they are worth, but I hope to find out soon
The coin was not made in 1801, the date 2007 in on the edge of the coin. It's just one of the presidential dollars series of coins that started in 2007 and will run until 2016.
None of the Presidential dollars regardless of date or mintmark struck for general circulation have more than face value. Only proof and uncirculated collectors coins sold from the Mint have premiums.
Many of the coins are valued in price close to $400 each. The exact amount for the coin will depend upon its condition.
These are in common circulation and carry no premium value at this time. (1801-1809 are the years that he was President. )
It's a modern presidential dollar coin, and it's worth one dollar.
It's a modern presidential dollar minted in 2007. It's worth one dollar.
This coin was not actually minted in the 1800's -- it's a modern commemorative, made to commemorate the 200'th anniversary of the Lewis & Clark expedition. It has no added value.
100.00
The 1993 Proof Thomas Jefferson 250thAnniversary commemorative silver dollar was issued as proof & uncirculated. Both have the same retail value of $19.00.
only $1 in average circulated condition. The coins are made of brass, not gold.
It's worth $2.01.
What you're describing is the Thomas Jefferson presidential dollar. Minted in 2007, it's worth exactly one dollar.
Please post new question with the date of the coin.
I'm not sure where you got those dates, as Jefferson was in office 1801-09. Whatever the case, modern Presidential dollar coins are worth one dollar.
Assuming you mean the series 1976 $2 bill, it's worth $2.
No doubt to its value of one dollar, it's just one of the Presidential dollars that started in 2007 and will be made through 2016 and it's NOT gold, but made from brass.
Thomas Jefferson
It's William Henry Harrison, not Jefferson, and it's worth one dollar.
not really anything as the base metal is not silver typical going rate is between 10 bucks to fifty cents
It is a brass coin minted by the United States called a "presidential dollar" they are legal tender in the US and worth $1. Unless in mint packaging it has no collector value and is only worth $1.
