To a very large degree of the iteam it depends on the condition it is in. If its in great condition it could be a couple hundred of dollars and it could be a great collectable iteam if its in great condition
It's not clear what you mean by "great", but in numismatic Very Fine condition (minor wear, but all details clear and sharp) an 1879-O dollar would retail for around $18.
It would have to be from an alternate universe because the U.S. did not print any $2 notes with that date. 1963, 1976, 1995, 2003 are the most recent dates and all are worth only face value if circulated. They might retail for about $3 if they are in crisp, uncirculated condition.
The date and mint mark are really on the edge of the coin. It is still worth only $1.
