Which one? A date and mintmark please:
$11 to $11,000 depending on the condition of the coin.
You have a Standing Liberty Quarter - a 1929 coin in at least good condition (G4) is worth: $6.00; if this coin's mint state is MS60, the value rises to: $150.00. By the way, the 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter in good condition is worth: $3500!
There are Walking Liberty half dollars and silver bullion coins, but the Walking Liberty design was never used on a quarter. If you're referring to a Standing Liberty quarter, its value depends very much on its condition, mint mark, and date. Please enter the question "What is the value of a US quarter?" for a specific answer. "19xx" of course is the date on your coin, like 1918 or 1930.
Not much above the value of the silver. A quarter has 0.1808 troy ounces of silve, and with silver at $16.23 per troy ounce (as of January 28, 2010), the "melt value" of a quarter is $2.93. Actually, it is probably a bit less than that, as a quarter worn enough to no longer have a visible date has probably lost some silver from wear as well.
A silver QUARTER is about $3.00 as of today.
Okay! No silver quarter for 1776.
Liberty quarters were made from 1796 to 1930. While all modern quarters have the word LIBERTY on them, they're standardly called Washington quarters because they have a picture of President Washington on them. Second, all circulation quarters minted since 1965 have been made of copper-nickel, NOT silver, so your coin is an ordinary quarter with no added value.
The value is about $3.00 just for the silver
The silver value is about $6.00. NOTE: The US has never made a pure silver quarter, they are 90% silver & 10% copper.
The value is only for the silver, about $35.00
Are you sure this is a 1924 standing liberty silver dollar? All my resources tell me there were no standing liberty silver dollars minted in 1924. The peace silver dollar was the coin minted in 1924. There were no standing Liberty dollars. The quarter issued from 1916 to 1930 bears the standing Liberty design, and the half issued from 1916 to 1947 bears the walking Liberty design. No, there is no running Liberty design, LOL!
The value is only for the silver about $3.25
