You have what's called an off-center strike. It happens when a coin blank (planchet) doesn't seat properly in the coin press and the dies do not strike on-target. For some denominations the value of an off-center strike varies depending on how much of the image is visible. However, modern low-denomination coins are minted in such large numbers that errors occur more frequently than you might think, so an off-center Jefferson nickel might retail for at most $5. A dealer would probably pay even less, so my advice would be to keep the coin as a conversation piece. In any case it's a pretty neat find, so if you want to you can buy a little holder at your local hobby shop and keep the coin on display.
