If you're referring to a Walking Liberty half dollar, they were minted from 1916 to 1947 and values are very different for different years and mint marks. Please post a new question with the coin's specific date for a more specific answer.

To clear things up There are Liberty Head designs and Walking Liberty designs, but there couldn't be a coin with a "walking liberty head" because heads can't walk, LOL! And in any case, the Walking Liberty design didn't appear until 1916, on half dollars.

To clear things up:> It's a Standing Liberty quarter. The Walking Liberty design was used on half dollars.> M is the initial of the designer, H. A. MacNiel.
