Such a coin does not exist. The Royal Mint produced no British Pennies minted from 1809 to 1824 inclusive.

There was no Maundy Penny produced in 1821.

Due to Britains ongoing expenses with various wars in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, there were very few silver or copper coins minted, subsequently there were a great many privately minted tokens and counterfeit coins produced. You may have a token.

It's really worth anywhere from $2.00 to $25.00 (I'm assuming it's a U.S. Indianhead Penny). The value is $2.00 if it is in average condition, $6.00 if it's in good enough condition to read the "liberty" on the headdress, and $25.00 if it's uncirculated.

1822 was the first year of the reign of King George IV. An English penny of 1822 could be worth £600. 1822 also saw the issue of Maundy money, made of sterling silver in the denominations 1d, 2d, 3d and 4d. A set of Maundy money is in the range £115 to £315.

What you have is a modern brass $1 coin issued as part of the Presidential Dollar series. If you found it in change it's only worth a dollar.

The dates indicate the years that the president shown on the coin (in this case John Quincy Adams) held office. The minting date (2008) and mint mark are on the coin's edge.
