1847 is kinda rare for a U.S.A Coin...

If it is worn out pretty bad, but you can tell it is from the United States and the date on it is 1847, then about $40...

If it is at least in pretty good condition, (not absolutely perfect), it is worth $100...

If it is in just about, barely from brand new like, perfect condition, it would be worth $125...

A British 1847 copper Penny (Victoria), uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to £315 GBP. If it has been circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch up to £8 to £110 GBP.

A British 1847 copper Penny (Victoria)(with ornamental trident and DEF-), uncirculated and in absolute mint condition could fetch up to £315 GBP. If it has been circulated but still in good condition, it might fetch up to £8 to £110 GBP.

The values quoted are the best possible for the best specimens in their grades, but may be significantly lower due to varying demand for the coin and the prevailing economic climate. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation based on inspection of the coin.
