The value of an Ovation Patriot guitar is whatever a reasonable buyer is willing to pay. I paid $1,000 for mine, which has the electric feature. Only 10% of them have this feature. It's in great shape, it has a deep (my daughter says "uplifting") resonant tone, and with the chestnut top, hand-painted flag and drum design, and diamond shaped abalone inlays on the neck, it's just flat out beautiful. I love it.
Mine was valued at $800.00
It is in great shape with the hard shell case....
But anywhere from $500.00 on up to $1000.00 depending on shape, color.
They continue to increase in value as they are becoming quite hard to find.....
If it's in very good to mint condition and includes original hard shell case, you should get at least $1000 for it. The preacher was made in Connecticut between 1975-82. It's very solid, heavy and it has a killer vintage humbucker tone. It was Ovation's version of the Gibson SG. In my opinion, better than the SG. It has active pickups that will make it scream some killer 70s, 80s hard rock solos. I love mine.
I paid $175.00 for one with a case, it was red with the tremelo
depends on the: series of it , they make a lot of vipers condition was it played how many where made / was it a limited edition your best bet is to google to see what people paid unless you got a really old ovation you'll be lucky to make retail for "value" as value is very subjective.

Initially I was learning in my acoustic violin only. I was using the acoustic violin for my initial concerts as well. Later when I formed my band Rithuragas, we included drums, guitar, keyboard and it became difficult to catch the sound of acoustic violin into the microphone - you know, it is hard with distortion and all. I got my first electric violin more than eight years ago. It was not a branded violin or anything. Then I slowly learnt more and more about electric violins. I started experimenting with other brands and finally ended up with one of my favorites - Cantini. Now I also own the seven string Mark Wood Viper. I understand that only a handful of Violinists in the world own and play the Mark Wood brand. Very excited and proud to own the Viper, play the Viper.
