This is normally called a Morgan dollar after its designer, G. T. Morgan. However it could not have a D Mint mark on it because the Denver mint didn't open until 1906.

Finally, please look at your pocket change. ALL U.S. coins have the words E Pluribus Unum so the motto isn't helpful in identifying a coin.
