No. Galvanized pipe is what they used to use, and now should either be replaced with modern type of water pipe such as PEX or copper. COMMENT: Complete agreement. Galvanized served it's purpose and did bring water into a lot of people's homes for a lot of years. That was then, this is now. Today, it would be a dead last choice for a plumbing system.

Put a lot of copper pennies in your swamp cooler. The copper will kill the mold using IONs or something.

You should put a lot of shavings around it so that he/she can't reach it from the outside. If he/she is doing it from the inside than do the same thing, put shavings against the wall of the igloo. There is also a last option which I use which is getting a rabbit to sit on top of the igloo ;)

You go to Walmart. Here you will find everything you need. Go to the housewares section and buy a cooler. Then go to the food and drink section, and buy stuff to put inside the cooler. It's a whole lot easier than making a cooler. :)
