There is a lot of scope for technological innovation in gardening and it could be used in lots of ways;

It could enable areas that would not normally be considered suitable to be used as a garden, such as vertical services, polluted areas or urban spaces to be used.

This might be through use of hydroponics, environmentally friendly energy generation to enable pumping or water conservation or development of nutrient chemicals or new plants. Plants not only produce oxygen but also support vast numbers of insects, many of which are also essential for pollination of commercially important plant species but are also important for the wider ecosystem. As human beings develop more of the planet and destroy the natural environment, the role of technology and innovation in creating spaces for nature to flourish will become increasingly important.
