10-1000 USD depending on specifics
No such serial number used in the Citori line.
1000 USD
Are you kidding me, It's a great gun I'd Say at least $1200
If we are talking about a Browning Citori model 525 sporting shotgun, then the value will be between 695-1,400 dollars based on your shotgun having between 60%-90% of its original finish remaining, and a good set of bores.
Browning didn't begin making the Citori until 1973. You probably have a Superposed. If it is a Superposed it was made in 1956. Value of shotguns depend upon several factors. Condition, model, point of sale are a few. Look at used guns for sale at a site like gunbroker.com to compare.
Value depends upon model, condition, extras that are with the gun like chokes, paperwork, original box. Get the serial number, go to Browning's site to determine the date of mfg. Check on used guns for sale sites and compare.
Buy a copy of Fjestad's Blue Book. "Field model" is a general term that is usually used to describe a basic Grade, or standard grade of Shotguns. Sometimes the manufacturer themselves will use the term, such as the Browning Citori Field Model. This would in most all cases be a Grade I Citori. There are hundreds of different Browning Models with variations that it is impossible to quote a value. Model, guage, age and condition are all factors in determining value. Try looking up more specific information in the Blue Book at the link below.
Need the serial number to begin. Value depends upon condition, point of sale, any additional equipment like chokes, original paperwork and box. Get these and check on a used guns for sale site to compare.
It's a 1975. In 1969 Browning started using two digits for the date of manufacture which was followed by on of the following codes: H=12 ga. N=20ga. Later the code was changed to J=both gauges This was then followed by the serial number beginning with 00001. Example: 00001H37 = A 1973 Citori 12 ga. shotgun with a serial number of 00001.
I bought a Citori Plus, in a combo set, which included a 34" trap barrel and the O/U barrel, plus the case. I bought it new about 8 years ago for $2400. I would think you could get around $1500 for the plus model, non combo set, if it is in very good condition, less if it has been "used".
From me......... I have a set of Browning 440's thanks
