The valve between the small and large intestines is the ileocecal valve. The ileocecal valve is a sphincter muscle and its function is to allow the passage of digested food from the small intestine into the large intestine, as well as preventing the reflux of the contents of the large intestine back into the ileum (the last part of the small intestine).
Well actually the stomach connects with the small intestine trough the duodenum which is a part of the small intestine, then it goes trough the jejunum and finally the ileum; this are all different parts of the small intestine. Now through the ileum it goes to the large intestine, colon, where it goes through the ascending colon, transverse colon, and descending colon where it goes to the rectum and finally the anus. Hope I helped in sometime! Good luck!
The small intestine connects the stomach to the large intestines. There are three parts to the small intestine, the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum in that order.
