Hi, Packetization delay is the difference in between end to end one way delay between selected packets in a flow with any lost packets.
It is desirable to allow packets with the same source and destination to take more than one possible path. This facility can be used to ease congestion and overcome node failures. To operate such a scheme consistently nodes must maintain routing tables specifying what goes where. The mechanisms for this differ with datagram and virtual circuittransport.In flow-based networking, packets are routed as whole flows, i.e. streams of related packets, rather than as individual packets as in current IP/MPLS networks.
