PET is short for polyethylene terephthalate, which is the chemical name for polyester. It is made out of ethylene glycol and terephthalic acid, or out of diethylene glycol and dimethyl terephthalate. Both processes are used, and the biggest advantage of using pure terephthalic acid in the process is it doesn't liberate methanol in the reaction.

Virgin resin is new resin, as opposed to recycled resin from Coke bottles or plastic bags.

Virgin PET resin refers to polyethylene terephthalate resin that is made from new, unused raw materials. It has not been previously used or recycled. Virgin PET resin is commonly used in the production of various packaging materials, such as bottles and containers, due to its strong and lightweight properties.

Can I transport my pet in Virgin airlines to Europe during the summer?

Virgin Airlines DOES allow cats and dogs on its flights to London. However, you have to check ahead that there is space available; the pet WILL ride in the luggage compartment (NOT in the passenger cabin); you need to check whether the country will allow your pet in. There is often a quarantine of 4-6 months before a country will allow a pet to enter that country.
