The formula for volume of a sphere is:
V = (4/3)(pi)(r3)
And since the radius(r) is half the length of the diameter we get:
r = 1/2 in
Plug in 1/2 for r and we get
V = (4/3)(pi)(1/2)3
V = (4/3)(pi)(1/8)
V = (1/6)(pi) in3
-or-
V = (pi/6) in3
-or-
V = 0.523598776 in3

The volume of the sphere is 38792.38 inches cubed Formula: Volume = PI x diameter cubed / 6 Step 1) 3.14 x 42 cubed / 6 = 38792.38609 Volume = 38792.38 inches cubed (the power of 3) +++ I have tested the above values but the standard formula for the volume of a sphere is 4/3.pi.(radius cubed).
Volume of sphere is 1/6 times pi times diameter cubed Thuis Volume = 1/6 (3.14) times diameter cubed or 0.5236 Diameter cubed
by diameter its 105 : 5 = 21 : 1 by surface area its 441 : 1 by volume its 9261 : 1
A 2-inch diameter sphere has a volume of 4.189 cubic inchesA 1-inch diameter sphere has a volume of 0.5236 cubic inches.
The volume of water in a 4-inch diameter, 1-foot section of pipe is 0.6528 gallons of water.
The volume is 53,014.4 cubic inches or 229.5 US gallons.
The formula is 4/3 times pi (π) times the radius cubed. Radius is 1/2 the diameter. Diameter is 2 so radius is one. 4/3 * π * 13 4/3 * π * 1 4/3 * π =4.19 in3
The diameter of a pool ball is 2 and 1/4 inch diameter. The radius of a pool ball is 1 and 1/8 inches. The radius is one half of the diameter.
It takes 24.50985 feet of 1 inch pipe to hold one gallon of water. Jeff Payne jpayne@texwipe.com
-- Measure the diameter of the ball (the fattest dimension).-- Take the "cube" of that number. (itself x itself x itself)-- Multiply the result by 0.5236The answer is the volume of the ball in cubic-(same unit as the diameter of the ball).Note: Where the 0.5236 came from ... it's (4/3 pi) x (1/2)3

Volume of a sphere = 4/3 (pi) (radius)3Radius = 1/2 diameterVolume of a 3-inch-diameter ball = 4/3 (pi) (1.5)3 = 4.5 (pi) cubic inchesYou should have no trouble taking care of the (pi) factor and rounding theresult any way you want it.
Volume = pi*r2*h = pi*82*1= 201 cubic inches, approx.
You can solve this in two steps. (1) Calculate the ball's volume. Use the formula for a sphere, and remember that the radius is 1/2 the diameter. Convert the result it either to cubic decimeters (= liters) or to cubic meters. (2) Divide the mass by the volume.
