The Warriors series is about a group of cats in different clans or groups. There is Shadow Clan, Thunder Clan, River Clan and Wind Clan. The clans have wars and fight each other. It is a good series.
True, but here it is in more detail. It is a bit confusing, sorry! But you should enjoy it.
This will be confusing if you haven't read the series. But please read it, because it is useful, too!
The warriors book series is about cats. Not your everyday, average house cats, but warrior cats. It all started long ago with Thunder, River, Wind, and Shadow. They created four Clans: ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan, and ShawdowClan. There is a fifth Clan, StarClan. StarClan makes up of all the dead cats from all Clans. Different cats can communicate with them. They guide the Clans, and you can see them as stars in the night sky. There are different types of cats in the Clans. There is a leader. He/she is granted nine lives from StarClan. He/she leads the Clan and makes the decision for them all. The deputy is chosen by the leader to be second-in-command. The deputy sorts patrols (I'll get to them later) and will become leader if the previous leader dies. Kit, short for kittens, live with there mothers until they are six moons old. (Moons are like months). They then become apprentices. Apprentices are cats who train, learn battle skills, and learn to hunt. They are taught by their mentors, who are warriors. Warriors are very important. They hunt and fight for their Clan. Once apprentices are done with training, they are made warriors. Queens are she-cats who are expecting or nursing kits. Elders are old cats who were warriors or deputies, and apprentices take care of them. The most important member is the medicine cat. They take care of the cats when they are injured or sick. Medicine cats can have one apprentice to help them and take over when they retire or die. Medicine cats can not have a mate or kits. Medicine cats have a special connection with StarClan, and they visit the Moonstone every half moon. The Moonstone is a stone deep in a cave, Mouthermouth. Leaders and medicine cats press their nose to the stone and dream with StarClan. Each type of cat has their own den. Warriors sleep in one, apprentices in another, elders in yet another. The nursury is where all the kits and mothers sleep. The leader has his/her own den, and the deputy sleeps in the warriors' den. The medicine cat has his/her own den, as well as an outer den where patients can sleep. They have clefts in the rock to store herbs for healing. All cats sleep in nests of moss and braken. Apprentices change the bedding for elders and the leader. They also bring prey to the elders. Clan life is very busy and full of patrols. There are patrols for hunting and patrolling the borders. Hunting patrols consist of two to five cats. The cats hunt their prey, called fresh-kill. Different Clans have different prey. ThunerClan hunts mainly mice, squirrels, and birds. RiverClan mainly hunts fish. ShadowClan mainly hunts scaly things and crow-food (rotten food). WindClan hunt mainly rabbits. Border patrolls consist of four to six cats. Each Clan has there own borders to patrol. They mark the scent marker by...well...spraying...the markers. Clans should not cross each other's borders. They should not steal prey from other Clans, either. Clans will fight with tooth and claw if needed to protect their Clan. But on one night, the night of the full moon, their is a Gathering. The Gathering is when all Clans gather and discuss what is going on in their Clans. The leaders speak for their Clan. Their is no fighting because of a truce. Each Clan has a different special skill. ThunderClan can walk quietly and easily through the undergrowth. RiverClan can swim. WindClan run super fast. ShadowClan can sneak through the shadows. Finally, the names. Mothers name the first part of their kit's name. For example, Dew. the second part will always be "kit" for kitten. Dewkit. Next, the kit will become an apprentice. The last part of the name is always "paw." Dewpaw. When the apprentice becomes a warrior, the leader picks the last part of the name. For example, Dewpelt. But it will make sense, not like Dewtree or Dewwind. If the warrior becomes leader, the last part of the name will always be "star." Dewstar. If you become a deputy, queen, or elder, your name will be the same as your warrior/medicine cat name. A medicine cat is given a warrior name by the leader if the previous medicine cat dies or retires. However, the cat can be named by the mentor at the Moonstone if desired. The apprentice will stay an apprentice until the mentor's death or retirement. Now this is the final, last thing (sorry!). Rogues are cats who do not belong to a Clan, yet cause trouble for them. Loners are cats who do not belong to a Clan, but leave them alone. "Kittypets" are cats with housefolk, called Twolegs, Upwalkers, or Nofurs. Warrior cats have a wild vocabulary which you can find on their website. You can learns lots at the website.
Note: I know I spelled patrols wrong, so sorry!
Warrior cats have lots of adventures. Hope you love them as much as I do!
