Well, this much-talked about Rush Limbaugh weight loss diet is nothing more than a diet program from Quick Weight Loss Centers, which is based in Florida.
To what I've come to know, the Rush Limbaugh diet supposedly consists of low-carb and low-calorie, regular visits to the Quick Weight Loss Center, and appetite supplements. No different than any other weight loss diet we've grown accustomed too.

∙ 14y agoRush's diet sounds very much like the Sonoma Diet, except that he mentioned you cannot have red pepper in his diet and you can in SD. Rush mentioned that you can have a little alcohol after the first couple of phases. The SD also allows this at about the same point. Finally, he mentioned that the key is the recipes and eating foods that don't spike insulin. The SD also relies on "good" foods (low glycemic index) and foods to avoid.

The comment Rush made about death panels was not for depopulation. The Administration will set up panels that will review what can be covered and what will not be covered under the new health care plans. This will require limiting care to certain groups of people. A rating referred to as "quality of life" will be assigned for each age group and condition. Once you go into a group that will have too low of a quality of life, verses the projected cost of the procedure in question, it will not be covered. For example, a 90 year old man with terminal cancer would probably not be eligible to receive a new heart. Hospitals and private insurance have similar groups and policies in place today. The shift that bothers Rush Limbaugh is that up till now, you had the ability to go elsewhere for a second opinion and it was not the Government deciding that you could try living or not. Most conservatives, like Rush, feel it is not up to our Government to decide issues like this. They prefer far less involvment in the private lives of citizens.
