The 1993 model, 15 hp Evinrude outboard weighs in at 72 - 80 lbs, dry weight, depending on the model.
an evinrude MODEL number 15404s was built in 1974
The year of model #e15rlcde is 1986
Depending on the year model, a 15 hp Johnson outboard is listed as having a dry weight of 70 - 85 lbs.
An Evinrude outboard, model E15RLETB, would be a 1993 model, 15hp, manual start. The fair market value would be in the 350-500 range, though I have seen them go in the 600-700 range as of late.

The 15 horsepower Mercury outboard motor does not have a water pump. The outboard motor is air cooled and does not have a need for circulating water.
The 1983 model, 15 hp Evinrude outboard, requires a 50:1 ratio, one pint of 2 cycle oil, to six gallons of fuel.
As of January 2011 Evinrude does not. In 2010 they came out with a 15 hp E-Tec outboard motor. This is basically there 25hp model regulated to do no more than 15hp. If you look at these motors side by side, there the same size and weight. The weight of the 25 hp E-Tec 20" shaft is between 150 lbs and 183 lbs, depending on the model. The problem is that the 15 hp models weight the same and this too heavy for some boats transoms. In my opinion it's a joke, Evinrude did it so guys could by a smaller matching "kicker" outboard for trolling, next to there bigger higher outboard motor. Lets hope that in the very near future they will come out with a 9.9 or a 15 hp E-Tec that will have the lower weight. These outboards should only be weighing in the neighborhood of 80- 115 pounds. Hope this helps! Chris
