Dietconsists of small mammals and birds, the larger the python the larger the prey which include pigs, dogs, cats and primates, etc., the python ambushes it's prey, holds it with it's teeth and suffocates the victim with constriction rather then crushing it, after swallowing the prey whole digestion takes many days to several weeks depending on the size of the prey.

Well my ball python is 4 feet long and weighs 3 lbs. im not sure but i think shes about 10 years old. i would say that a few lbs is the average. They wont get much bigger then 4 feet.

Depends which species of Python you're talking about. My adult Burmese Pythons all weigh in at around 120 lbs (54kg)
