it means a good fully grown female lion hence the name lioness
A fully grown male lion is a tan color. It is about 7x the size of a regular house cat. It has a mane that wraps around it's head, it has a long tail with black fur at the end. A fully grown female lion is the exact same thing, but without the mane. A lion cub will look like a mini version of a female lion, but it's ears will be large compared to it's size.
It takes about 2 years for a sea lion to be fully grown.

Some people think a lion has no pattern on it at all, however, this is not true. A baby lion has faint spots on it which disappear when it becomes a fully grown lion.

Wolves will eat a mountain lion if the opportunity were to arise. Also hyenas may it a young or an injured lion but may struggle to tackle a fully grown lion.
