What is the wieght of Mars?
Explain why your weight but not your mass would change if you landed on mars?
The definition of mass is basically how much matter an object is made up of. The defintion of wieght is the amount of gravity that is exerted on an object. Mars`s mass is actually very similar to that of earth`s, so your wieght would probably not change much. But if you were to land on the moon, your wieght would decrease because the moon`s gravitational pull on you is weaker. It is weaker because it is half the size of earth. However, your mass would not be affected because if you were to experience a negative G it would not affect the amount of atoms in your body.

Why does ship float?
The hood or the base of the ship is such that the wieght of the ship is able to displace a large volume of water. the wieght of the water is displaced is equal to the wieght of the ship itself. this displacement of water from its original position develops a potential energy which is the upward force balancing the wieght ot the ship.
