The speakers are powered by the stereo, which in turn the stereo has a fuse. If the stereo works (turns on), but not the speakers, then it may be a wiring issue.

To wire a stereo for a 1992 Lexus ES 300, first disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety. Remove the dashboard panel and the old stereo, then identify the wiring harness connections. Connect the new stereo's wiring harness to the car's harness using the appropriate adapters, matching colors (e.g., red for power, black for ground). Finally, secure the stereo in place, reassemble the dashboard, and reconnect the battery.
This website has a lot of wiring for many cars including '92 Eclipse. http://www.modifiedlife.com/1992-mitsubishi-eclipse-car-audio-wiring-diagram/
To install a stereo in a 1992 Oldsmobile 98, first, disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety. Remove the existing stereo by detaching the trim panel, unscrewing the mounting screws, and unplugging the wiring harness and antenna. Connect the new stereo using a compatible wiring harness to ensure a proper fit and function, then secure it in place and reattach the trim panel. Finally, reconnect the battery and test the new stereo to ensure it's working correctly.
