Browning has parts made in numerous factories. Belgium, Portugal, Japan to name a few.
No, never. Browning did not make any recoil pads standard on any A5 except the Mag12. For an extra fee, Browning would install it for you at their shops in the US, but it is not factory and was not imported from Belgium with a pad.
Your browning light 12 auto-5 shotgun which was made in 1967,is going for 650 dollars in 98% condition,if it has a vent rib barrel then your shotgun is worth 925 dollars in the condition you describe.
Made in Portugal, USA, Belgium and Japan. You will have to specify if you are talking about military or civilian manufacture.
Only the Browning factory would have the answer to that question. You may want to inquire what the Browning service department did. Contact them by phone or through the web site.
The A-Bolt was not in the product line in 1968. What you most likely are inquiring about is a High Power or BBR. You may also want to qualify the term "mint condition". Firearms in mint condition will be unfired, in the box with all factory accessories, and have absolutely no blemishes.
It depends on who is buying it. A purist will always want it to be EXACTLY the way it left the factory. Even if the factory does the work, it will lose value in some folks opinion.
More information will be required to answer this question. The serial number would be required to date the gun. There are no factory stampings with the word Germany on it. Do you mean Belgium? Sweet 16's were made in Belgium from 1937-1976 and are valued anywhere between $350 and $2500 depending on year and condition. If it says "Germany" then it is an aftermarket inscription. Thank you
This gun was made in Liege Belgium at the Fabrique Nationale Gun Factory in 1962.
Godiva factory is in Brussels, Belgium.
I have one also and I am wondering what it would bring for sale. Email me if you know. daleandjene@gmail.com Mine has only had about 10 to 15 rounds shot only to dial in scope. The first Browning BAR rifles that were made in Belgium for Browning were from 1967-1976.This is the model that you have, except that it is a grade II rifle because of the engraved animal heads on the receiver.A grade II Browning BAR will sell for between 415-800 dollars, for a example with between 60%-90% of its original finish remaining and a good bore. You may add 10% to your rifle if it shows 98% of its finish remaining.
These shotguns were made from 1940-1945.During this time frame the belgium factory that produced Browning shotguns was overrun by the Nazi forces of Germany, and used to make firearms for the Third Reich.
