Life after death is 'existence' You may no longer have a physical body and you may no longer live on the human plane. Life after death is when the energy of a person continues on another frequency. Some people believe this place to be heaven, as a kind of parallel universe, others believe heaven is in outer space or beyond. The only scientific fact of this is that energy can't die it can transform and turn into something else, but it can't stop. The energy of a person does build up over a lifetime, but whether that energy has independent intelligence is to define if it has life after death. The majority of people believe this is so, and that people do continue to exist and have thoughts after death, many claim to have encountered passed on loved ones and some claim to have evidence, but it's never been indisputably proven. Some also believe strongly that the soul leaves the body and after a while it takes birth normally, or is reborn.

Life after death means that its the beginning of an eternal life. The word says in Matthew 10:28 that the body will be casted to hell in soul and body for eternal death, but the ones in Christ will have a changed body. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the Trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.(1Cpronth.15:51-52 )

Some philosophers, such as Richard Dawkins, disagree entirely with an afterlife as a conscious existence however Dawkins argued for a 'meme' which is a unit of cultural transmission (i.e. the passing of cultural ideas such as symbols, fashion, melodies, etc. between minds) and therefore the memory and ideas of someone can live on after death even if their conscious self cannot.

Aristotle disagreed entirely with the concept of life after death as he believed that humans do have a soul but that it dies along with the body at death. On the other hand, Aristotle's teacher, Plato, believed in the world of the forms which was the place the soul went after death - a more real copy of the world we live in.

In summary, people believe in different versions of a life after death. It generally is where a person's body dies and then their spirit goes to an afterlife somewhere (exp. heaven).

  1. Heaven
  2. God
  3. Jesus
  4. Nothing. Everybody wants to believe that their is an after life because the thought of non existence scares them. Either they will turn to religion to better comfort them and believe they will get everything they ever wanted and be blissfully happy all the time (sounds like someone didnt get what they wanted out of life) or athiests try and believe in the science of the "energy" called the soul in your body that leaves after death and supposibly takes your conciousness with you. When you die your conciousness does not go with you, energy does not hold your thoughts and memories and decisions, your brain does. When you die, just like anything els in this universe, your energy gets recycled and reused by other sources that use you energy. This is only an opinion of one individual, but one fact that you still cannot deny, the human race has dulled down anything that scares them or found a way to counter that fear or supress it, death is just somthing that humans cannot mass prevent cheaply, so many random theorys come out about it trying to make us feel like we have "controll" (because there is nothing more us humans like then power and controll over situations to make us feel important and special).

What I believe is all our lifes we see, we do things and I mean why is just going to end like that. I believe that we just have a other life after, a life with the Kingdom of God. Because there is really no point of it just ending like how people claim it to do. We will just be a person again spirit, and have no problems with the real world. I think this is our test, how to live. Just think about it yourself. (:

Yes, everyone chooses where they live out eternity. Everyone will live forever! The question to think about is not will you live forever but where you will live out eternity. Heaven or hell are real places and we get to choose where we go. By accepting Jesus as our lord and savior we can/will have eternal life and live out eternity in heaven. By not accepting the free gift of salvation, we choose to be eternally separated from GOD. Every man is appointed to die once so we will see a physical death unless we are alive when the rapture occurs. Every man is spiritually dead anyway unless they are born again(given a renewed spirit from GOD). Unless we are born again we will be eternally separated from GOD and hell is the place where the spiritually dead people go.

Only the dead can answer that so your out of luck. I believe in heaven and so should you

Answer:

The Bible tells us that after death comes the Judgment... which commences with Jesus' return to earth. It begins with His saints... and ends with the rest of mankind a thousand years later.

"...They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the First Resurrection. Blessed and Holy are those who have part in the First Resurrection. The SECOND DEATH has no power over them..." (Rev.20:4-6 NIV).

"Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face Judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him." (Heb.9:27-28 NIV)

"For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: Christ, the Firstfruits; then WHEN HE COMES, those who belong to Him. Then the end will come, when He hands over the Kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is DEATH." (I Cor.15:22-26 NIV)

The "future" following death depends on how the Judgment goes for each person. The saved will Live Eternally as God's Children. Those Judged otherwise [the wicked] will burn up in the Lake of Fire.

"...The dead were Judged according to what they had doneas recorded in the books... death and hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. The Lake of Fire is the SECOND DEATH. If anyone's name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the Lake of Fire." (Rev.20:12-15 NIV)

There are two possible futures following the "first death" and the Judgment: Eternal Life or eternal death.
