What is this generation's greatest challenge when it comes to faith?

The greatest challenge for members of the younger generation is deciding whether to let go of the religious faith of earlier generations. Reason may tell them that there is no God, but emotion can draw them back into conformity with their parents' religion.

The greatest challenge for faith organisations is that young people are leaving religion in droves. There seems to be no way to reverse this tide, because young people expect to make their own decision and not be coerced into believing things for which there is no evidence.

Another challenge comes from science. People no longer have to believe what they are told to believe, but can learn evidence-based explanations for our existence.
