The various equations and symbols that are used with them are used by everyone internationally, so whilst i may not speak the same language as an other chemist, if they wrote down the equations and a mechanisim for what they were doing then i could understand what they were doing perfecly without a word passing out lips.

If referring to a question you might find on a test, the answer is physics.
