Its All By Timing Chains And Timing Marks.. There Is Timing Marks On The Gears And Other Places.. Go To Auto Zone They Usually Will Be Able To Print You Out A Timing Diagram And It Will Show You Where The Marks Are And How To Set Them... Its A Hell Of A Job But Can Be Done..
I checked with auto zone and they said 12 before TDC
In order to check if ti slipped a tooth you would need to get a timing light from auto zone or sears. Be sure to follow the instructions on the timing light. If you do not then you will never know that your timing if off.Good luck!
