Colitis is actually inflammation in the large intestine. It can be caused my many different disease types. There are different types of colitis. Other colitis types may include ulcerative, Crohn's Colitis, Diversion Colitis, Ischemic colitis, Infectious colitis, Fulminant colitis, chemical Colitis, Microscopic colitis and Atypical colitis.
