Carbon Monoxide is a gas formed from carbon and oxygen. It has the formula CO. Carbon dioxide another gas formed from carbon and oxygen, has the formula CO 2.

A gas, the molecules of which are made up of one carbon atom bonded with one oxygen atom. Carbon monoxide gas is clear, odorless and lethal when inhaled in LOW concentration.

It is a clear, odorless, gas, the molecules of which are composed of one carbon atom double bonded to one oxygen atom.

If you inhale it,it bonds with the hemoglobin in your blood preventing it from being available to bond with oxygen. Therefore you asphyxiate and die.

This is why it is recommended to have gas appliances service annually by a certified, qualified person and to have a carbon monoxide alarm fitted.

Your red blood cells bond to the oxygen when you breath. When you inhale carbon monoxide, it bonds with your red blood cells permanently. With this your red blood cells can not carry oxygen and you suffocate.

the invisable gas that comes out of your car which is piosonous if you breath to much of that gas, you might die or not die but most times you could die breathing just carbon monoxide. that gas is pumped back into the car if something is blocking the exaust pipe it might stay in the car unless there is no widow open in the car.

Actually, CO can be found from your fireplace, furnace, car exhaust, water heater, range hood, ect... and your cars exhaust pipe, when blocked will stall the engine, so no CO or any gasses will be emitted since your car won't be running. A great way to kill yourself is to trap yourself in a garage with your car runnning. Make sure you have no oil leaks in your engine and your CAT is in working order. Otherwise, prepare for a smelly and smokey death, you'll probably run out of the garage just to get away from the stink. Ok.
