Worms should arrive naturally to your compost pile. As you use mulch and compost on your garden and flower beds worms will find these areas great places to reside. The worms turn organic matter into natures fertilizer, which your plants will appreciate and they help aerate the soil as they travel through it.

Several methods are available, depending upon your preferences. One easy method involves using tin sheets to construct an above ground container (connected at the corners using wire and electric fence posts). Leaves, grass, and other organic material is simply placed into the container (the worms will eventually come up into the container [or worm bed] from below. Be sure to keep the area moist.
Vermicomposting means composting with worms. It is taking vegetable scraps and grass clippings and adding worms. The worms break this down and make it into great fertilizer for your garden. The only disadvantage is the time and effort to do the vermicomposting.
