This is a handgun, either revolver or automatic, which requires manual cocking of the hammer to fire the gun. Examples include the Colt Single Action Army (the classic cowboy gun) for revolvers and the Model 1911 for automatics. A double action pistol will cock the hammer and fire the gun simply by pulling the trigger.
No such model. Winchester did not make a 'Model 1901 single shot .22 pump-action rifle.' They made a Model 1900, Model 1902 and Model 1904, which were all single-shot bolt-action rifles, and they made the Model 1890 and Model 1906 which were slide-action rifles but had tubular magazines. How exactly is your rifle marked? sales@countrygunsmith.net
It is a double action pistol
Need a better deccription. Is it single action(cowboy gun), or is it double action(police gun)? Do you know the model name?(should be on the barrel) More info gets better answers.
AFAIK, there is no Winchester Model 90A. Is it a lever action, slide action, bot action, semi-auto or single shot? What caliber? What type and length of barrel?
The Smith & Wesson Model 3 was a single-action

Yes The model 10 is a 38 special revolver that may be cocked for single action and also operated in double action by trigger pull alone.
Yes there is.I personally have a marlin model 1894 cowboy ltd.that is chambered for the .45 colt cartridge.A few that come to mind is the rossi lever action carbine, the marlin model 1894,some Winchester model 1894 carbines, original Winchester model 1892 lever action carbines etc. With the revival of the cowboy action matches at gun ranges across the country gun makers are making more and more firearms that fire the .45 colt cartridge.
EMF Company produced the Model 1873 Dakota Single Action Revolver. This link says they no longer make it: http://www.emf-company.com/1873-model-single-action-revolver-dakota2.htm
Both! You can cock the hammer and pull trigger for single action. Or, for double action just pull the trigger straight through.
No such model. There was a Model 49. Vary from 50-165 or so
