What is value for a colt cowboy single action model CB1840?
This is a handgun, either revolver or automatic, which requires manual cocking of the hammer to fire the gun. Examples include the Colt Single Action Army (the classic cowboy gun) for revolvers and the Model 1911 for automatics. A double action pistol will cock the hammer and fire the gun simply by pulling the trigger.
No such model. Winchester did not make a 'Model 1901 single shot .22 pump-action rifle.' They made a Model 1900, Model 1902 and Model 1904, which were all single-shot bolt-action rifles, and they made the Model 1890 and Model 1906 which were slide-action rifles but had tubular magazines. How exactly is your rifle marked? email@example.com

Yes The model 10 is a 38 special revolver that may be cocked for single action and also operated in double action by trigger pull alone.

Well, My cross reference says the model 34 was really a Marlin 80 which was made from 1935 to 1939. But both the Blue Book and Standard Catalog say the model 80 was a bolt action repeater, not a single shot.
What is the model of an old single shot bolt action Ranger .22 rifle with no model designation marked anywhere and what is its approximate age?
We have a Ranger bolt action rifle with a model # 103-8. We do not know the age of our gun however.
It depends on the make and model. Is it a double action or single action revolver?
I don't know exactly what model, but it would probably have been a Colt Single Action Army model.

i had a model 51 410 shotgun given to me and wanted to learn about its value
There is a model 220 single shot and a model 220 bolt action. Go to the Savage Customer Service website, ask for an owner's manual for your gun. They are free.
A single action pisstol, such as the Colt 1911, requires that the hammer be manually cocked before firing the first shot. Double action pistols, such as the P38, do not- pulling the trigger will cause the hammer to rise and fall, without being manually cocked. This also applies to single action revolvers, such as the Colt Peacemaker, and the double action S&W Model 66 Combat Masterpiece.
Only Colt knows.

Model 101 was a bolt action single shot made circa 1949. The model 80C and 80DL were also made circa 1949, they were both bolt action repeaters as well as the model 81. If it is an autoloader it is a model 88-C. Hope that helps! Blue Mt Gunworks
