what model pistol ????
You will have to call Colt since you did not provid the serial number.
Would need model name. There are a few pistols designated .22LR.
You did not give us a serial number! Go to the Ruger website, look under customer service, historical information, pistols, find yours, and look at the serial number year of manufacture table.
Value of ANY firearm is based on EXACT make and model and condition- serial number does not tell us that. Value for the Ruger pistols can range from $100 to $350 or so.
If this is a Savage automatic pistol, then the serial number is actually 4458B. Savage made three production automatic pistols, the model 1907, the model 1915, and the model 1917. The serial numbers run from 1 to about 245000 for the .32 pistols, and from B2000 to about 29972B for the .380 pistols. All three pistol models used the same serial number ranges for the two calibers. Only the first few hundred .380 pistols (all were model 1907s) had the s/n start with B; the rest ended in B. Serial number 4458B is a .380 model 1907, and the version is 1907-13 modification 2 (aka 1907-13-2), made 1913-1914, s/n range approx 2350B - 7000B. This is the second of six versions of the .380 model 1907 (made 1913-1920).
A Colt .25 automatic with serial number OD44723 was made in 1972.
the serial number is too HIGH for 1911 military pistols........
the serial number is in the pan for automatic trans, and it is in the bell houseing for the manual.
Sorry- no known public SN database on these guns, and the firm went bankrupt and closed about 27 years ago.
1911 model pistols , by all manufactures, used serial numbers to date the manufacture date of their pistols. therefore, to obtain the date of any 1911 pistol you have to furnish a serial number.
this is a repeat message....................
Raven Arms produced about 2 million .25 caliber automatic pistols between 1970 and 1991. There is little information available on dates of manufacture. They were inexpensive pistols made of a zinc alloy.
