A 1951 Franklin half has a value of abut $15.00.
Dates and mintmarks usually are needed for values, but with Franklin halves, they are so common if it has any wear at all the value is only for the silver in the coin.
Washington is only on Quarters. A 1950 US half dollar has Ben Franklin on it.
The US only issued 20¢ coins from 1875 to 1877. If you mean 50 cent piece, please see the Related Question.
A U.S. fifty cent piece dated 1961 is a Franklin half dollar. The coin is not rare, if it shows any wear the value is about $12.00 just for the silver.
If it shows any wear at all the value is for the silver only which is about $4.25 as of today
Other then the silver value, there is no collectors value on Franklin Mint items
This type of coin, issued by a private mint, has no numismatic value to U.S. coin collectors. Their value is based only upon the worth of the metals used to produce them plus whatever value an individual may be willing to pay to own them.
Roosevelt, not "rosevelt" Piece, not "peice" Not a dollar, either. Franklin Roosevelt's picture is on the dime, where it's appeared since 1946. President Eisenhower's portrait appears on all $1 coins struck in 1971. Any that you find with a copper-colored edge are only worth face value.
