Vivitrol is used to treat opioid dependence. It cannot cure addiction but works by binding to opioid receptors and blocks them from being activated by opioid use. In the early stages of getting sober, it can prevent an addict from getting high. It can only be useful when the addict has a free strong will to get sober.
Vivitrol is the trade name for the drug naltrexone, an opioid receptor antagonist. Vivitrol is used to help treat alcohol dependence and opioid dependence.
Vivitrol injections and Ambien together produce no interactions.
Yes, you can receive Novocain (lidocaine) for dental fillings while on Vivitrol (naltrexone). Novocain is a local anesthetic and does not interfere with the effects of Vivitrol, which is used to treat opioid dependence. However, it's always best to inform your dentist about your Vivitrol treatment to ensure a safe and effective dental experience.

It is generally not recommended to take Adderall while on Vivitrol (naltrexone) without consulting a healthcare provider. Vivitrol is used to treat alcohol and opioid dependence, and it can block the effects of certain medications, including stimulants like Adderall. This could potentially lead to reduced effectiveness of Adderall and increase the risk of side effects. Always consult a doctor for personalized medical advice.
Librium (chlordiazepoxide) and Vivitrol (naltrexone) serve different purposes; Librium is a benzodiazepine used primarily for anxiety and alcohol withdrawal, while Vivitrol is an opioid antagonist used to treat alcohol and opioid dependence. There are no direct interactions between the two medications, but combining them should be done under medical supervision. It’s essential to consult a healthcare provider to ensure safety and efficacy in your treatment plan.
Suboxone contains buprenorphine, which is a partial opioid agonist, while Vivitrol contains naltrexone, an opioid antagonist. If you are on Vivitrol, the naltrexone can block the effects of buprenorphine, meaning you may not feel any of its effects. Using both medications together is generally not recommended, as Vivitrol can precipitate withdrawal symptoms in individuals dependent on opioids. Always consult a healthcare professional before making any changes to your medication regimen.
Taking Suboxone while on a Vivitrol shot is not recommended, as both medications are used to treat opioid dependence but work differently. Vivitrol (naltrexone) blocks the effects of opioids, while Suboxone (buprenorphine and naloxone) partially activates opioid receptors. Using them together could lead to withdrawal symptoms or a reduction in the effectiveness of either medication. It's essential to consult a healthcare professional before making any changes to your treatment plan.
i'm assuming it's the same as opiates, it can't be more than a week. i would say just go to meetings daily or whatever you can do to stay away and then once you get the shot you just won't crave it. ask a doctor that does vivitrol this question. good luck.
As little as 3 weeks. No longer than 4 weeks. So somewhere between the third and fourth week.
There are no known interactions, but it is always smart to check with your doctor first before changing/combining any medications. Especially with a drug such as Vivtrol, it should be closely monitored if the patient is having any medical drugs or procedures given to them from any other doctor than the one that is prescribing the Vivitrol...because of the nature of the drug. Or should I say the nature of the condition that is being treated.
No. I'm actually read something that said it may enhance mood/effects of smoking but also worsen cardiac effects. Although i'm skeptical off this. I'm on vivitrol now and can tell you marijuana works just fine. Alcohol is noticeably decreased pleasure wise, motor coordination effected, feels kinda gross, with no positive mood effects. And opiates, don't even bother trying
