Cotton takes a longer time to dry than nylon due to its water retention capacity. Nylon does not hold water very well and can also have the effect of repelling water.
Fabrics such as polyester, nylon, and acrylic are known to be the least absorbent. These synthetic materials repel liquid rather than absorbing it, making them suitable for water-resistant clothing and outdoor gear.
water has a high heat of vapourization.it absorbs much heat as it changes from liquid to gas.it has the capacity of absorbing heat with minimum of change in its own temperature
tagina
try putting a nylon jumper into water, see if it absorbs water :P ......(yes it does)
Nylon is a synthetic polymer, and has no ability to absorb water - much like plastic.
Nylon is a polymer insoluble in water so it can not change the pH value of water which is 7.
by decreasing its shank diameter
Water
exeptionally strong easy to wash resistant to damage from oil and many chemicals low in moisture absorbing long lasting light weighted
I believe nylon is not waterproof; however, it might be water resistant. Waterproof is different. Fabric has to be treated to be waterproof, and usually that information will be on the tag when you purschase it.
Nylon is synthetic fiber hence it catches fire very easily Nylon will not absorb water(sweat) easily
