When an electrical field changes sign, some of the energy will radiate into space. When the sign reverses the field will change again.

Thus radiated into space at approx the speed of light will be a series of electromagnetic waves.

These waves can also carry modulation - a characteristic of the wave may be varied. In the simplest form, the amplitude of the radio wave (commonly known as the carrier) may be varied by applying a speech signal for example.

Several other modulation styles are also available, and I'll just name them, rather than describing them. Phase Modulation, Frequency Modulation, Pulse Modulation.

In addition, the polarization of a wave may be varied.

How does noise impact the effectiveness of communication?

Because it distrupts the wave frequency to which you comunicate with.

What waves can be used for communication?

Any wave can be used for communication. This is because waves (of any kind) can be made to form patterns, and those patterns can be defined to mean certain things. The most common wave used for communication is the sound wave (or more accurately, a pressure wave through the air). Radiowaves and other electromagnetic waves are also commonly used, as they can cover long distances extremely quickly and don't have as much interference.

No. Tasmanian devils do not wave their tails as a means of communication. This trait is more characteristic of felines.

Morse code and the Telegraph had that technology.

What is the function of modulator in a communication system?

Modulation is defined as a process by which any characteristics of a wave is varied as a function of the instantaneous value of another wave. The first wave which is a high frequency sine wave is known as carrier wave. Second wave is known as modulating wave and the resultant wave is known as the modulated wave.

Differentiae analog communication system with digital communication system?

digital coommunication is a mode of communication where the information is encoded digitally as discrete signals & electronically transferred to the recipients. analog communication format is that in which information is transmitted by modulating continuous signal, such as sound wave.
