if you're getting absolutely nothing, and the security light is on, then it is a bad VATS system. you need to replace the ignition tumbler and get new keys made.
If you know the battery is good, then you have a bad ignition switch or starter, or a loose wire.
Battery cables could be loose, battery could be bad, starter could be bad, starter solenoid could be bad, ignition switch could be bad. Turn on the headlights and try to crank the engine. If the headlights dim or go out look at the cables or battery. If they stay bright look at starter, solenoid or ignition switch. The neutral safety switch or clutch petal switch could do it too.
I would first check for voltage at the ignition switch start feed wire on the solenoid(be sure to unhook it first from solenoid). If you are getting power on this wire when turning to start. It should be an issue with the solenoid/starter. Some part of this assembly could have been damaged from the overheat. If no power to the crank wire, I would get a hold of a repair manual and trace the crank wire from the ignition switch all the way to the starter, making sure it has battery power to that terminal on the solenoid. Once you have that and a known good starter she should crank right up. hope this helps.
No spark? are you sure? then probably bad crank sensor, or ignition module.
it might be the starter. have it checked out.
whats wrong my starter wire caaame off how do i put it back on
Hooked up wires wrong or ignition switch bad out/ of adjustment
The wires to the starter are probably connected wrong.
Did you just put a starter on it ??? Sounds like the starter wires are on the starter wrong are thay are shorted out. CHECK THE WIRES GOING TO THE STARTER CLOSELY.
The starter solenoid, or ignition switch is bad, and either one needs to be replaced.
Could be that the battery is dead or the starter is bad.
Your problem is prob the starter, if you hear grinding it def is, Tho if starter is good could be ignition relay
