If it is the release button located in the glovebox. it easily removes and has 2 wires-You'll need a 12v test light or meter. One side will show 12v ONLY WITH THE IGNITION KEY IN THE ON/RUN POSITION. If the button is pushed with key on and the other side of the switch should also read 12v. If that all checks out, its a matter of following that wire to find the open.
