it sounds like a short in the wiring you should probably have a mechanic or an electrician test each of the wires for arcing
check your interior or instrument panel lights fuse, they usually are all connected and when the fuse blows they all go.
Overload or short to ground in circuit Remove all bulbs and check sockets, Replace buklbs one at a time until fuse blows to determine where problem exists Then investigate that area for bad socket or wire frayed to ground
Is door ajar light on also?
It sounds as if you have an electrical problem that needs to be checked. You may even have the wrong fuse for your brake lights.
Blown fuse. If you replace the blown fuse and it blows again, you have a short in the tail light/dash light circuit. It's going to take some detective work to locate the source of the problem.
First. It sounds like you have some wires in the wrong place. At no time should anything you do concerning your rear lights affect your wipers. You also probably have a short circuit or a broken wire somewhere.
I would check the fuses located under the center of the steering column near the pedals. Fuse number 14 should be the one for the tail lights and it is a 20 amp fuse.
I have a 1995 neon dodge and my dash lights will not come on or my tail lights and every time i change the airbag fuse and turn on the car the airbag fuse blows.
I would be suspicious of the bulbs you're using.
Usually. Most GM vehicles put the instrument cluster and the tail lights on the same fuse so that if the tail light fuse blows you'll know something is wrong and hopefully get it repaired. The headlight switch uses the same fuse circuit to run both the tail lights and the dash lights. If the fuse is ok, check the headlight switch.
Maybe it is not connected properly or you bought the wrong type of bulb.
