When that happens to me, I am over-tired.
sore throat
If your throat is swollen, but does not feel sore, it is likely glands in the throat, possibly a saliva gland has become blocked. See your doctor.
swelling of toncil
I had it when I was about 9 and i have it right now at 18, or so my scary doctor says. Personally I have swollen tonsils and my right one feels like it's about to burst, it is extremely difficult and painful to swallow, I'm constantly thirsty and I have a small cold, like just a runny nose.
While I am not sure of your age, you might be experiencing swollen tonsils or tonsilitis. It feels as if something is "sticking" to the side or sides of your throat when you swallow. If you look in the mirror and you see two white looking nodules on each side of the throat, that will confirm it. The lymph nodes on the sides of the throat usually swell as well. This is usually bacteria induced and can be treated by antibiotics, available by perscription. This could also be strep throat, thus named by the presence of the streptococcal bacteria. You can see a picture of swollen tonsils and more information by checking out the referred link, found below. If this is not your situation, I would suggest you seeing a physician to properly diagnose your condition and perscribe proper treatment for recovery. While this involves the primary source of air for the body, I would have it looked at as soon as possible.
Swallowing is a manipulation of the throat muscles, it's not down to gravity. In theory you can swallow while upside down (but it feels odd and is harder as you're working against gravity). Hope this answers your question.
well, as a kid i would lick deodorant a lot and somehow liked it?? but it makes your throat dry and it somehow feels like you cant swallow. it also feels like if someone numbed your whole throat.
I am looking too! So far the best one I have found is gurgling aboust half a teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water gurgle but don't swallow makes you feel better for 1/2 hour- 3 hours
If the red swollen mark at the back of your hand seems like a raised red welt and there is a spot on the middle and feels so itchy and painful, then probably it is a spider bite.
The child, if old enough, is asked to open their mouth. The doctor uses a tongue depressor and small flashlight (usually the otoscope) and asked to saw ah (if old enough). The doctor also feels the outside of the throat for swollen lymph glands.
you probably have a cold. drink fluids and rest rest rest. cough drops would help for the sore throat.
You dying
You will be tender for about 4 to 5 days. It probably feels like you got socked in mouth.
