There could be a whole pile of potential problems. She could be:
- recovering from a bout of grass-tetany after getting an injection of magnesium in her
- in heat
- showing symptoms of Mad Cow disease, where she will have to be put down
- rabid (has rabies)
- giving you a bad time like she always does, but is bellering to locate her calf
- giving you a bad time because she's been really aggressive towards you since you first came to know her (or purchased her) and has been separated to get shipped out and sold to the salebarn; she's mooing a lot because she hates being separated from her herd
- in heat and challenging you at the same time
The list goes on.
The most likeliest possibilities are that
a) she's in heat, or
b) she has just had her calf taken away from her because it is time to wean her and the calf.
Many calfs don't make a lot of sounds, especially loud moos. As they get a little older, they will make some small bleat sounds, mainly when they are hungry.

It depends. Is the male becoming aggressive? If it is then something's wrong. Males are usually protective of the females and pups (depending on breed) so if it is acting aggressive towards the female then it will hurt the puppy's. Other male dogs will be fine around the pregnant female but become aggressive towards the pups. Do your research on the breed to determine what is the best way to protect not only the female and pups but the male because the female will attack the male if he try's to attack the puppy's.
