If your car lights are getting brighter and dimmer its probably do to inconsistent charging from your alternator or your alternator is insufficiently charging. To test this start your vehicle and test the voltage across your battery terminals ( pos test lead to pos battery terminal ) it should be approximately 14 volts if your vehicle is a 12 volt system.
