It could be that your computer needs a new battery.

is it an electric fan on it?? the fan may not be turning on...i had the same problem with my 1985 corvette...i replaced the computer chip to a stock one and that fixed the problem...it could be a relay for the fan...if could also be a bad fan....possably your water pump has something wrong with it
